  11. Hi, I just picked up a Motorola Universal Data Systems 9600FP modem REALLY
  12. cheap used.  I know ABSOLUTELY nothing about it and I'm hoping somebody
  13. here would know might know.  Specifically, I would like to know what
  14. happens when it fails a self-test (i.e. how do you know?), which setting
  15. on the big rotary dial to use, what the id switch is for, etc.

  21. Oh yeah, another question:  Does anybody know who made a generic modem
  22. that just says "28,800 bps faxmodem" on the front?  Below it gives the
  23. stats, like which MNP, etc.  It would help a lot.
