- Hi, I just picked up a Motorola Universal Data Systems 9600FP modem REALLY
- cheap used. I know ABSOLUTELY nothing about it and I'm hoping somebody
- here would know might know. Specifically, I would like to know what
- happens when it fails a self-test (i.e. how do you know?), which setting
- on the big rotary dial to use, what the id switch is for, etc.
-
- Thanks a lot if you have a reply. Please send it email because I don't
- check news often.

- Oh yeah, another question: Does anybody know who made a generic modem
- that just says "28,800 bps faxmodem" on the front? Below it gives the
- stats, like which MNP, etc. It would help a lot.
-
- Once again, thanks if you have any clues.
